On 3-6 December 2019 a Russia-chaired meeting of the SCO Council of National Coordinators was held in Beijing.
The focus of the meeting was on the substantive preparations for the upcoming SCO summit in July 2020 in St Petersburg. The participants discussed a number of current matters in SCO activities, including the content for the SCO Plan of Main Events for 2020 and the Programme of Cooperation between the SCO Foreign Ministries for 2020.
The national coordinators reviewed the outcome of the third UN-SCO high-level special event (New York, 19 November 2019) and the meeting of the leading Paris Pact Initiative experts on preventing the diversion of precursor chemicals (Shanghai, 26-28 November 2019).
The next SCO Council of National Coordinators meeting is scheduled for February 2020.
