The 15th Meeting of Security Council Secretaries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Member States will be held on 15 September via videoconference. Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Nikolai Patrushev will chair the meeting.
The participants will discuss security and stability in the SCO space, exchange views on the joint practical activities aimed at combating security challenges and threats, including in the spheres of responsibility of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS).
Other issues on the agenda include prospects for the further development of cooperation, primarily the improvement of the SCO cooperation mechanisms responsible for combating terrorism, separatism and extremism, arms and drug trafficking and transnational organised crime, as well as interaction aimed at fostering international cyber security.
